Selecting not only the breed but the sex of dog can make a big difference in how easy a time you will have in dog training. Male dogs are generally more difficult to handle and get into fights with other dogs on the street more often than not.

After approximately ten to twelve days of going into heat, a female dog will be fertile and she will be ready to mate. Prior to her first mating season, she will not be attracted to males in any way. You will be able to tell that she's going into breeding season as just before breeding begins, a virginal discharge will occur for a period of about eight days.
