Today, %LINL1% are a necessary part of training dogs to be on their best behavior and for socializing. As we all know, dog behavior needs to be at its best because there are laws that prohibit loud and long barking dogs, as well as neighbors that don't appreciate them either.

Dogs, of course, have no knowledge of the rules and they just follow their instincts, which is why they need to be trained. Thus, the increasing need for training collars of several types.

Choker Training Collars

Some people consider chokers to be the more humane dog training collars. They help when the dog pulls too hard on the leash and helps to correct other bad behavior too. These kinds of training collars can be used for daily walks with puppies and adolescent dogs as they are trained to socialize with people and other dogs.

Dogs slowly realize that jumping at people and things will give them a very annoying choking sensation. Some collars have some protuberances for increasing the feeling on dogs that are particularly stubborn or with very thick skins. These types of collars also stop any sensation to the dog as soon as this one relaxes.

Electronic Collars

These types of training collars emit a short shock which surprises the dog when it barks. The collar fits around the neck of the dog and the device from which the small electric shock comes from is placed directly in front of the dog's throat.

Electronic training collars may be considered humane since the shock is actually as effective as a sharp spank. This can work well as long as the owner is constantly there to monitor his or her dog.
