<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/how-to-experience-whale-watching-with-more-than-just-your-eyes/"></g:plusone>

If you happen to be in Southern California, your gaze will undoubtedly wander towards the direction of the ocean. Past all of the human bodies catching some sun, while lounging on the beach, lives one of the most intriguing, majestic and massive animals that call the sea their home. The beauty and wonderment of these creatures can not be fully understood unless you witness it for yourself. Experiencing whales (or whale watching), for yourself, will not only be an adventure for the day. When you leave, you're sure to take with you memories that will last a lifetime.

Imagine being able to be a part of one of the worlds most fascinating, underwater mammals, lives, if only for a day. When you're this close to life under the surface, you might find it difficult to head back to shore. Many tours are given in places all over the world, but on most of these trips, you're stuck up on top and are only able to see what's going on when the whales decide to come up for air.

Sure, you could don the diving gear and take to the waves on your own, hoping to see the same thing as being on a tour. Of course, you need to know "the ropes" of diving and it does carry a touch of danger. Being aboard a boat, with someone in charge, you are assured of safety, as you do your watching of the whales. As a matter of fact, many have gone on their own and some have been injured by getting too close to what is considered a gentle animal. You are in their world and must respect it.

A lot of tours have glass bottoms that allow you to see what's going on right under your feet, but you can never be sure that you're going to actually see what you want to see, swimming by. On this boat, you can see in every direction while being under the water. You can be sure, if you see them up top, you're going to see them from below. It truly feels as if you're a part of a totally different world.

You won't just have the adventure of a lifetime, you'll also get an education. The captain and the crew are there to teach, as well as lead the way into the great beyond and below. If and when the time ever comes where a dolphin or whale needs to be saved, these people are there to help.

A lot of people have seen whales and dolphins splashing through the waves at the surface, but not many are able to see them gliding through the water below. Along with being able to see everything that's going on under the waves, you're also allowed hear the animals communicating with one another. When you hear a whale singing for the very first time, it's likely to leave a remarkable impression.

If you're afraid of being out on the water because you suffer from motion sickness, there are nets that you are able to sit in and get close to the water. Not only will you feel a bit better physically, you'll also be within arms reach of the animals you've come here to see.

Life on land is often hectic and chaotic. When you're out on the ocean and become part of a world that is relatively unexplored, you are sure to find a part of yourself that you may have never known existed. The peace, serenity and overwhelming beauty you'll enjoy while whale watching, will stay with you long after your feet are on dry ground.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/sardine-run-in-the-eastern-cape/"></g:plusone>

Every year in the winter months of June and July in South Africa, one of natures greatest happenings takes place. An incredible number of little sardines leave their spawning waters of the Agulhas Bank located in the southern waters of South Africa the spot where the chilly Atlantic Ocean and warm Indian Ocean meet. It's the coming together of those two seas that produce the waters perfect spawning grounds as they are abundant with nutrients.

The actual explanation why the sardine move off such nutrient rich waters may not be known nonetheless they prosper in water conditions of around 20 Celsius. Because winter waters of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal cool, it's presumed the sardines take full advantage of their widening area and go north up the South Africa coast.

Measuring nine inches long, the small sardines journey in gigantic shoals clearly seen from the surface of the sea. Often the shoals are usually many km's long and up to a km wide hence in terms of numbers, they simply compare with Africa's other famous migration of the wildebeest when they venture north through the Serengeti to the Masai Mara.

The Sardine Run is really a significant event for the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal. As sardines are more or less at the bottom in the food chain, it isn't much of a surprise that when they create shoals more than a million strong that predators are usually soon on their trail. Beneath the waves, the shoals of sardine are mercilessly pursued by sharks, tuna, dolphin as well as whales. As they come under attack, the small sardines form defensive bait-balls but it's very little protection because time and again, the predators hit the bait-balls, taking some of the small fish with each strike. There are such large numbers of sardines and predators in the sea throughout the Sardine Run that the Natal Shark Board remove the shark nets that typically protect the beaches to stop the sharks, dolphins and other large sea creatures from getting trapped and dying.

As the shoals come under assault, they're pushed into shallower waters where they begin to come under attack from above as the sardines come within range of gannets who join in the abundant feast that nature has provided. People get in on the act as well. As sardines move to try and dodge the caravan of predators, they swim into shallow waters small fishing boats arrive the fish are literally dragged ashore by throngs of waiting people. Along with the fishing nets a variety of containers are utilized to capture the sardines by people wanting to collect as many as they are able to take.

The Sardine Run is an event of nature and therefore it is never guaranteed. There were no shows recently but each and every winter, the Greatest Shoal on Earth is excitedly expected by the individuals who live up and down the coastline of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal in South Africa.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/how-great-are-puppy-training-videos/"></g:plusone>

Setting the puppy up in front of the TV is not going to get him to learn the information on the training videos. Animals do not learn this way. You might want to rethink this method because you would have a better chance winning the next big lottery than teaching your pooch anything.

People did not create the puppy training videos for the puppy to watch but for you to have a step by step guide. Much like a how-to video or an exercise video, you watch them to learn techniques.

When you watch an exercise video, you do not just get the rock-hard abs by watching. You actually have to take the video creator's advice and do the work. You have to have the resolve and discipline to do the work.

You must follow the lessons in the puppy training video in the same way. You must have the determination to succeed to realize the goal promised by the trainer.

Here are a few reasons these puppy training videos are so effective:

1. The Step-By-Step Approach - There's always a reason things are put into orders like alphabetical or numeric. The beginning is always planned out before the next step because you can't learn to walk without first learning to crawl. There are certain things that must go in order.

The puppy training video works the same way. Before the puppy can learn a trick, he must first learn the basics of listening and obedience. Simple lessons like housebreaking and sit are first in learning for a dog. These are every day activities the puppy needs to learn. The step-by-step approach is the easiest way for you and your puppy to learn.

2. Convenience - With how busy our lives are these days, a puppy training video helps because you can do the lessons when the time is convenient to you and at your own pace.

The author also frequently contributes articles on things such as bounce house and Little Tikes work bench.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/choosing-a-bird-feeder-for-your-yard/"></g:plusone>

There are many different species of birds, with some that are native to certain regions and others that are almost anywhere. If you want to attract more birds to your yard, you can make special places in your yard and add a bird feeder. There are a few kinds of bird feeders that you can use to make good spots for a variety of birds to come and eat. To draw in specific birds, you'll need to learn the difference between the feeders.

Wooden feeders are often called hopper feeders. They tend to look like miniature houses with see through sides. They are made from cedar so that they last a long time and can withstand outdoor exposure. The see through sides are often made from plexiglass sheets so that you can see how much seed is left. To refill the seed, you simply lift one of the roof flaps. These feeders are good for many different species of birds.

Tube feeders are a cylinder feeder with four to eight perches for birds to stand and pick through the holes. These feeders are ideal for small seed mixes. They attract Cardinals.

For really small bird breeds, like purple and gold finches, the thistle feeder is ideal. It gives these small birds a place to eat without having to deal with the bigger birds. Thistle feeders are specifically designed to hold thistle feed. The small holes for the birds prevents the thistle from falling out.

There are some birds that don't like feeders that are hung off the ground. Birds like Mourning Doves and Northern Cardinals are always on the lookout for predators and like to be able to watch for danger while eating. Platform and ground feeders help these large birds keep one eye on their surroundings while being able to have easier access to the bird seed.

For woodpeckers, peanut feeders are a good choice. They are designed in the same shape as tube feeders, but wire mesh is used instead of the solid section. The holes all around the feeder provide plenty of room for the woodpeckers to stand on the mesh at any spot and peck through the holes to the peanuts. Square suet feeders hold preformed cakes within a cage like enclosure. These feeders are the best for feeding birds during the winter time when there aren't natural food sources; the cakes are higher in fat and other nutrients which the birds need the most during the cold time of the year.

If you have a dog that keeps on mounting and jumping at you or your visiting friends can slowly become a nuisance if not monitored well. You should be busy trying to find a way to stop this behavior. You can do three things.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/ideas-to-instruct-your-dog-not-to-jump-on-you/"></g:plusone>

If you have a dog that keeps on mounting and jumping at you or your visiting friends can slowly become a nuisance if not monitored well. You should be busy trying to find a way to stop this behavior. You can do three things.

Step one is to ignore the dog completely. You should not give it the attention it is trying so hard to get. The dog will automatically not like this and will be worried. The more it keeps on jumping the more you should ignore him.

If the dog decides to sit and remain calm, that is the opportunity to bring out all your bottled attention and acts of praise.

The first trick will not always work out. In that case, you should take a more active approach and do some shoving with your knee when he is jumping at you.

An occasional bump is not a feeling the dog likes getting. Therefore the dog will understand the message and go back to sit quiet.

If the dog is young, you should use the ankle of your leg to bring him down. You should not kick him hard so as to hurt him. You should only be doing it to instill fear of the master.

The third trick in the book is to keep commanding your dog to sit or stay down. This will only work if you have trained him to do that. You should select a certain spot where the dog should be sitting whenever you have visitors.

The way to practice this style is by having someone you know go out of the door and start knocking. Once the knocking has started, command the dog to go to that spot and wait seated. Most of the time, the dog will shun your instructions and not listen to you but after a while he will be able to remember your command with a little guidance.

Besides dogs, this writer additionally regularly shares writing about IR camera and AC power cord.

The feeling is wonderful. This reminds you of the gifts, nature has given to the universe. If you feel like watching the birds at your backyard, use bird feeder to attract birds.

The bird watching is one of the unique activities, which gives you pleasure and happiness, when you are just sitting in your backyard. It is a great feeling to watch them feeding themselves, bathing themselves and sharing with other birds.

The bird feeders come in a large range. There are available in various colors and designs. The popular type is the seed feeder. These come in the shape of tubes, hoppers and trays etc. The various colors make them very attractive.

Want to invite finches and cardinals to your home? Use mixed seeds and they will come. Mixed seeds and sunflower seeds are very well-liked by the songbirds. Finches and Chickadees would love to join the party.

The red glass top filler feeders or bottoms filler feeders. Hummingbirds will be attracted by them, and you will be fascinated by the Hummingbirds. Other type of feeder is the oriole feeder. This is especially designed to feed birds with typical beaks. Combine few types of feeders in your backyard, and enjoy almost every type of species of birds. You will love them.

How to find the best place for them? For locating the best position, move the feeder around. Do not do it very often. Give a gap of few days or a week. Adjust the distance slowly, and get it to the position of your liking. Make sure it is not affected by the weather and animals like cats etc.

The popular bird foods are the sunflower seeds, Berry blend, mixed seeds, which can attract many birds. The choice available in foods and bird feeder make it very attractive for birds; and for bird watchers.

In line with this theme, many people have begun planting their own gardens and flowers to amplify the natural quality of their homes. Another great way to add a natural touch to your yard decor is by adding a bird feeder.

Most people don't realize the benefits that come along with adding one of these amazing pieces to their homes. This is why it's something unique and original to add to the decor.

This is why it is important to choose a place to keep the one where most birds come. Try keeping the feeder at different places for a few days and identify the place where it is most convenient for the birds to feed. Place the feeder at that place.

It is recommended not to add a bird feeder right next to your house, since doing this will intimidate the birds, who are very sensitive to the noises coming from inside the household. Try to find a location with enough distance from your house or any modern appliances you have that will disturb them.

Trees often provide great locations. Not only do they benefit from the bird feeder as decoration, but the trees themselves naturally attract the birds. But be sure the tree will still let the birds notice the bird feeder there, so do not chose dense trees or bushes. Birds will have difficulty finding the feeders.

Once you do find that perfect spot, try not to move the feeder from there too much. That way, birds will get used to the idea that that exact location is the best place to find food throughout the seasons. You will be getting growing numbers of bird visitors all year long!

Stop by Wild Bird Haven where you can get some tips for picking out the right bird feeder for the kinds of birds you want to attract.

It's been a practice that millions have carried out since the Egyptian times. The practice involves keeping keeps in an apiary, or something similar, then allow them to create honey, all the meantime keeping them fed during winters and generally looking after them. The honey can then be kept for personal use or sold off as part of a business. The bees are excellent at making honey, but their productivity and maintenance levels depend on their species, with some being more difficult to manage than others. Here are some honey bees beekeeping tips.

Bees And Honey

Worker bees actively fly around their surrounding area and see out nectar from flowers. This is where they help with the flora by spreading the pollen from plant to plant, fertilizing them. Once they reach the flower, they use their proboscis to suck out the nectar and store it in their stomach. During the flight back to the beehive, the nectar is converted to honey inside the bee, due to the enzymes inside them. The bee then places the newly-made honey into the beeswax comb. This honey is then dehydrated through a process whereby the bees flap their wings, which in turn dehydrates and thickens the honey. Wax is then covered over the honey and the next comb is filled.

Collection And Making A Profit

With preparation, collection of the honey is incident free. Be sure to have your gloves and hat on as well as any other beekeeping equipment you need. Having enough jars for the honey wouldn't hurt either. Start by removing the cappings from the frame and place them in a pan. Once removed, put the frame onto the extractor. If you have an electric one, start it off; if not, start spinning the frame.

Be sure to label the jars before or after you're done extracting. Pour the honey into the jars, then wipe the exterior of the jar and jar mouth with a warm, damp cloth. Follow up by screwing the jar's lid on tightly. Store for later use in a cool and dry location, such as a cupboard.

There are some essentials to making a profit as well as getting repeat customers. The first is that there should be no contaminants in the honey. This means bee legs or wax from the cappings. Furthermore, different jar sizes will ensure customers don't walk away because there's far too much or far too little. As for how much honey you're getting, you should consider what species of bee before you commit. The more productive will obviously make more honey. On the other hand, don't choose bees that you will have a difficult time maintaining, as this will be more work than it's worth.

Get all the details about honey bees beekeeping and the honey industry fast! Learning the benefits of beekeeping will help you to get a beautiful garden with less effort!

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/loving-and-caring-for-your-dog/"></g:plusone>

The pets you keep also desire your attention and depending on how much of this you can give them, they will be more perceptive to you and be at your beck and call. Dogs are always willing to please their masters, and are keen to see that the masters are happy with them. This is why you need to know some of the ways to show your appreciation and love to your dog.

For starters, the dogs should be patted on the back and be held lovingly by the owner. The best way to do this and show the dog that you love him is by hugging or just patting him on the back.

Touch is not just a simple feeling, it goes beyond a mere stroking of the dog, it connects to deep emotions that help the dog to know that he is loved and appreciated. This is far reaching effects in that it can connect the humans to the dogs to express love in a way that words cannot since the canines do not talk anyway.

You can show the dog your love and appreciation which will endear him to you by letting him rest beside you and even letting him sit on your laps; particularly when the dog is still young. Pat the dog and hold him with friendly touch and he will always trust you and be obedient to you as his master.

It is always good to let the dog know that you are a true friend by patting him on the back even when he has not done anything special. This means you should not just wait for the dog to do a good deed before rewarding him with a pat; and make the point of stroking the dog when you arrive home from a trip.

Another wonderful way of appreciating your dog, even though most pet owners do not see this as important, is to take him for a walk constantly. Dogs love to go for walks, so they will really love their masters for taking them for walks. Let the dog go for jaunts and playful activities outdoors that you can do together.

Then the third thing is to give some dog treats to your own dog since they also get bored doing the same things day in day out. So surprise your dog by taking it out for some outdoor games, go out to visit friends who have dogs that your dog like. Also you could buy for them some special diet or dog bones to play with.

To really go an extra mile, you could one day think of getting a partner for your dog.

The author also frequently writes on things such as rent a dumpster and truck mud tires.

This is a great way for them to get some great birds to drop by and visit as they enjoy the local weather. In this article, we'll look at 7 fun facts you didn't know about those garden birds you enjoy, so break out the bird food, and learn more about these amazing creatures.

1. Every year in addition to the wild bird food they find, blue tits will bring their young hatchlings more than 9,000 caterpillars to consume. In fact, the breeding of this species occurs at the same time caterpillars begin to make their presence known in the area.

2. When migrating, swallows begin their migration, they will fly at about 18mph. Over the course of the day, they will cover more than 175 miles. More importantly this is all done during daylight. At the end of the day, they will enjoy some bird food and rest in the dark.

3. Robins and wrens are the strangest nesters you will find. If there is an odd place for them to build their nest, you can be certain they will pop up there. This will include greenhouses, shed, and even in clothing if it is left on the line too long.

4. Blackbirds tend to take separate vacations during the winter from their mates. But don't think this means they forget who the love. In the spring they will always return to their regular partner to hatch a new set of birds each year.

5. Robins are one of the only birds that will sing year round. They will also be the first to sing their song first thing in the morning, and be the last one to sing at night. The only break they take it when they find some wild bird food. What is even more interesting, if they are awoken in the night, they will sing again even in the dark.

6. Starlings are among some of the most incredible garden birds you will find. They can actually copy perfectly the sounds of other animals. These birds have been known to mimic machines, frogs, mammals and other birds in their normal songs.

7. Another great thing about Robins is the way they care for all birds. If they find a chick that appears hungry, they will actually go and find it some food and feed it be the chick's parents return for it. This is one of the most amazing things you can find in the realm of birds.

With so many different birds to fill your garden, who knows what species you will see. While you are watching them, be sure to keep your distance. Since most garden birds are skittish, they might fly off if you approach them too quickly.

With some simple ingredients you can make tasty foods which will attract all types of birds to your garden. Bird foodcan be quite expensive to buy and there are always elements to it that will be wasted. So making your own will ensure that the birds are fed well with no wastage.

If you want to, then you can add dried fruit as well to give the birds a treat. You simply need to mix them all together well so that everything is evenly combined.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/selecting-a-beekeeping-hive/"></g:plusone>

Bees have been in the news recently as their numbers are declining dramatically. This is thought to be due to a disease called colony collapse disorder This has made a lot of people think about taking up beekeeping. A beekeeping hive will provide a ready made home for bees.

There are several different species of bees which lie in a hive. Just two species are domesticated. One is the Western honey bee, and the other is the Eastern honey bee. Beekeeping has two important functions, one of which is to pollinate crops and the other is to provide honey.

Manufactured hives are not a new invention. There are records of beekeeping in ancient Egyptian times. Honey that is thousands of years old has been discovered in tombs, and amazingly it is still okay to eat.

Traditional hives did not have any kind of structure within them, so the bees had to make their own honeycomb. When the honeycomb was removed it often badly damaged the hive. Nowadays hives tend to have frames inside which can be removed.

Modern hive designs date from the nineteenth century. Most beekeepers will choose from one or two popular designs. The two most commonly used are the top bar hive and the Langstroth hive.

Langstroth hives consist of rectangular boxes that do not have tops and bottoms, The frames are removable. The structure is designed so that hives can be placed on top of each other to create a bigger space. It also makes it very easy for a beekeeper to inspect the hives to make sure the bees are healthy. The honey is extracted from the frames by using a centrifuge. This type of hive has been around since eighteen sixty, and it is thought that seventy five percent of the worlds hives are constructed this way.

The top bar hives tend mainly to be found in developing countries as they are much cheaper than the Langstroth hive. Although they have frames they consist only of a top bar, and do not have any other sides to them. Bees build a honeycomb from this bar. The honey cannot be extracted by centrifuge so they are less efficient. There is a lot to think about when setting up a beekeeping hive but it is a worthwhile hobby to develop.

Have you ever tried a beekeeping hive? Beekeeping is fun to do and we have some good tips for you that will come in handy.

Those that have diabetes can use honey without worrying about the way it affects their production of insulin like they do when they use pure cane sugar or syrups. Honey has many health advantages on the throat and mouth. It can be used to calm a cough and clear an itchy sore throat. There is only one place that honey is found and it is not easily replicated. Many people keep bees in their backyard for the purpose of getting the honey. It is a hobby that is growing in popularity but there are things you should do before you get in to it. It is highly suggested that you get a quality beekeeping suit and gloves before you handle bees.

There are a couple other things you should have before you bring your bees to their new home. Be sure to talk to your neighbors and family as well as check what the rules are in your area. Every city has their own regulations when it comes to having bees or other animals in your yard.

There are also some supplies that you will need to keep the bees happy and to protect you, your family and your neighbors. Make sure you have them put in place before you bring the bees home.

The first thing you need to get is fence. It should be at least six feet high for a couple of reasons. For one thing, if your neighbors cannot see the hive, the less likely they will be frightened of it. Second, it should higher than the hive itself. Bees like to fly straight across from their established hive, therefore if the fence is not high enough, the chances are they will leave the area and possibly get hurt or killed.

Another thing that you will need is an extra hive. Bees love to explore and find new homes. If there is one in their area, they will more than likely stop there instead of going into someone else's yard.

A beekeeping suit is one of the most important things that you will need before you bring the bees to their new home. They can be found in two pieces or a handy one piece that zips up the front. They are very affordable and should be worn with a helmet and gloves. These are used to protect the handler from getting stung.

To get more information on what you will need to keep your bees and yourself safe and happy, do a little more research. There are many books and websites dedicated to the hobby of beekeeping.

A beekeeping suit is suggested for all amateurs. Get exclusive inside info on the best suits now in our beekeeping guide.

They have different food preferences, and the timetable of feeding also differs. There are many things that should be taken into account when it comes to feeding your cats. Some of them are explained below.

A normal and adult cat requires half ounce of food for every pound of their body weight. For instance, if your cat weighs 8 pounds than it would require 4 ounces of food. This is only true for cats with normal bodily activity.

Many pet owners over indulge their cats as it has become norm today to pamper your pets. However, excessive pampering in the form of over feeding can be harmful.

Importantly, while feeding your cats quality rather than quantity should be kept in mind. High quality food in rich in nutrition and contains less amount of fillers that can potentially harm cats.

Cats can not make their own Vitamin A. Therefore, their food should contain Vitamin A. Many animals have the capability of manufacturing Vitamin A from Carotenoids but cats lacks this ability.

One solution is to include raw liver in their diet. However, this is not an acceptable solution for many humans and cats. Another more acceptable and easy solution is to add a small quantity of cod liver oil to their food. This should be done many times in a week or better still everyday.
The instructions that come on the pet food package should only be considered general guidelines. There are many other things to be taken into account.

One thing that should be taken into account is that you should not over feed the pet. Many owners are guilty of this as they indulge in excessive pampering, which is a norm in these modern times.

The writer additionally often gives advice on topics including mens cardigan sweaters and mens cardigan sweater.
