<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/making-maltese-training-easy-both-for-you-and-your-pet/"></g:plusone>

Though this breed seems easy to deal with considering their small size, providing them with maltese training can be tough particularly to new pet owners. New or potential owners should be aware that similar to most dogs under the toy group, maltese dogs have extremely lively and playful disposition hence making them hard to handle. However, that fact isn't supposed to dissuade you from obtaining a new puppy or adopting one from the nearby maltese rescue center. There are several ways to get positive training result only if you are responsible and resourceful enough to look for them.

Below are a few methods to make training easy for you and your four-legged bundle of joy:

1. Whether you're adopting a grown dog or getting a pup that is not less than eight weeks old, start maltese training immediately after your new pet arrives home. Training does not necessarily have to include commands or other advanced tricks. What's important during this stage is the opportunity to expose your pet to things, places and scenarios of everyday life. A pet that is correctly socialized is less likely to develop undesirable habits at the same time easier to train compared to those that are not socialized.

2. Majority of dogs learn by doing things regularly. Taking a walk or exercising him, feeding and toilet breaks ought to transpire at almost the same time everyday to help him develop a routine.

3. Be consistent whether with your commands or the training techniques you are using. If you are using the command "come" today, remember to use the same command in the next days to prevent confusion. The commands "come here" or "come here boy" may mean different to him. The same is true with maltese training methods. When getting rid of his jumping habits, train him to do so regardless of the situation. He'll not know the distinction between your work clothes and pajamas so allowing him to jump on you when you are donning your pajamas and prohibiting him from doing so when you are sporting your best suit will potentially induce confusion.

4. Although they are renowned for their intelligence, it is better to deal with one command at a time during maltese training. If he has perfected the command you're teaching him, that's the the perfect time to continue with the next command.

5. Acknowledge and reward good behavior. One way to let your pet be aware that you are pleased with what he did is to give him rewards. It could be his favorite treat, toy, time to play or praise. However, you should regulate the use of treats to prevent him from becoming treat-dependent.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/things-to-understand-concerning-positive-maltese-training/"></g:plusone>

Have you been told anything with regards to positive maltese training? Are you knowledgeable about its benefits and the reasons why you had better take into consideration such training practice? Perhaps you don't care whether your dog training methods are cruel or inappropriate. Well, keep in mind that positive training solutions offer nothing but astounding results. In fact, maltese training that's done positively is more preferred and strongly-advised by many professional trainers.

A positive kind of maltese training focuses on the use of positive reinforcements such as praise, and the use of various rewards or treats. It's more about teaching your dog amiable manners and an array of obedience commands that would make him behave wherever he is. It is the effective way of inculcating the sense of right and wrong so that your maltese is aware of which behaviors to flaunt and which to get rid of. Positive dog training isn't about forcing your dog to carry out commands or hitting each time he's done something inappropriate.

Basically, nearly all maltese dogs are usually more inclined into being attentive to their masters if they're granted different kinds of rewards like tasty treats. There are also those that work better if treated properly before, during and after maltese training sessions. Indeed, there are several fun ways wherein you can properly motivate your dog and help him master many things without having to coerce or punish him. Remember, a well-guided, happy and healthy pet is more engaged to undertake a lot of training and exercise with his disciplined master.

Moreover, positive dog training is often more beneficial and entertaining if done with the use of clickers or whistles. Observe that your dog would always call for or wait for your response and remarks, especially right after he has done what you told him so. Of course, clickers make excellent aids because your maltese pet can easily and automatically know whether he has done something exceptional or not. Evidently, clicker training is the easiest, fastest, results-oriented and most fun dog training method. Both the master and the dog have fun doing various training activities if clickers, rewards and praise are employed.

Consistency and proper timing are the crucial keys to fulfilling positive maltese training. Don't ever think that training with the use of positive reinforcements mean that you would have to make your maltese get used to enjoying treats whenever he's being trained. Proper positive training means respect training. You don't make your pet a spoiled pet but a pet that understands the good things about training and doing good deeds. If training is done in the right and positive manner, you will make your dog love performing all your obedience commands.

Therefore, why wait for bad habits to show up if you can actually inhibit them by teaching your dog right from wrong? Why wait for the moment that you would find it frustrating coping with your maltese if you can actually propel him to train and exercise by using the many treats he like, the toys he opt for and the games he always aspire to play? Why go for inhumane ways of training if you can actually train your maltese using positive means?

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/prevent-canine-separation-anxiety-through-maltese-training/"></g:plusone>

Through maltese training, this small breed with silky white hair gets to learn how to respond in ways acceptable by humans. Thus it's not odd if you will find a maltese owner spending lots of time training his dog. Even prospective owners are researching early on to learn what training approaches work best for this breed. Training does not only allow a dog to learn how to do this and that. Preventing the occurrence of different behavior problems is one benefit of training. One behavior problem that can be prevented by training is separation anxiety.

Canine separation anxiety or CSA is a behavior that is caused by lack of training and previous encounters like being kenneled for long periods of time, being abandoned, turned over or re-homed, unexpected change in regimen, moving to a new home or sudden disappearance of a family member.

Separation anxiety is diagnosed through history and physical examination. Severe conditions may need professional help and medical treatment while others only need maltese training and behavior alteration. To handle this problem, begin by keeping a routine or schedule. Potty breaks, meals, walks and playtime are some of the activities that ought to be scheduled. Apart from that, you also have to exercise your pet on regular basis to prevent boredom and anxiety while keeping him in good physical shape.

But one thing that greatly affects every dog's separation anxiety is the way you depart and arrive home. If you make a big deal about it, then you're certainly helping your little maltese develop this problem. Leave the house as calmly as possible and when you arrive home, ecstatic greetings should be avoided. To get your pet accustomed to you leaving the house, go out of the room or house for a while and return before he starts to bark or whine. Gradually lengthen your stay outside until he gets to figure out that there is really no need to be afraid since you will always return every time you leave the house.

Canine separation anxiety is a vital concern that needs to be dealt with early on. If your pet's behavior can't be modified, it's better to seek professional help.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/the-benefits-of-utilizing-treats-in-maltese-training/"></g:plusone>

Treats can be quite useful in any maltese training program. Even so, its effectiveness varies according to the way you make use of it. Indeed, proper usage of various dog treats can have a significant influence in your maltese's training development. And an excessive amount of or lack of treats can either put your time and efforts at risk or won't produce a single reward. Hence, see to it that you distinguish which type of treat to use, when to employ it and how to make the most of it.

These days, heaps of different dog treats are now available so that dog training can be made more fun, enjoyable and effective. As you can see, most dogs strive better when certain treats are being given. And of course, maltese dogs are one of those breeds that perform more gracefully and obediently if treats like delightful goodies are awarded soon after they can execute maltese training for obedience commands. Although such dog loves to please his master, such dog tend to be uncooperative and selfish. You need to convince him that training is absolutely beneficial for him and that treats await for every good performance.

Maltese training is a lot easier and more successful if you are to feature various treats either during or after training sessions. Some owners furnish treats right after every training routine. There are also those that prefer to hand over treats during or in between training sessions. You must be careful about the time or the moment by which you hand over the treat. Otherwise, you might be ruining the momentum of your dog to learn or has switched his attention to enjoying the treat instead of inculcating the behavior you're teaching.

You must be wise as to the way you make use of treats so you can secure the rewards and outcomes you aim for. Proper use of treats help build up respect, affection and leadership. It could be your means of practicing discipline and helping your dog avert behavioral problems such as dominance, hostility and disobedience. It will teach your dog that nothing in life is for free and that he must earn whatever he fancies for. Learn how you can effectively utilize treats and you can foster a good relationship with your pet.

Just be sure that you don't rely upon the utilization of treats, especially food treats or goodies, since your pet might end up following you because of the goodies you provide and not simply because he values or vigilantly obeys your obedience commands. You should be able to competently teach good behaviors without having to depend on your pet's hungriness or propensity to receive treats. Also, reprimand bad behaviors in an appropriate manner so that your dog won't think that only good things await him regardless of his behaviors.

Instead, utilize treats as a tactic to motivate your dog. Provide treats moderately or only when you are to teach new tricks and commands. This way, your maltese pet won't become accustomed to acquiring treats whenever you are doing numerous maltese training activities. Your dog will not always beg for food or stop obeying your commands simply because you no longer present treats such as biscuits. You won't also be the culprit of your dog's disobedience and different health problems, particularly those pertaining to weight and diet issues.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/how-to-find-a-maltese-breeder-georgia/"></g:plusone>

There could be a few listings available for Maltese breeder Georgia located. These breeders will have lots of information about their dogs and the services that they provide. Learning what makes a particular breeder great, could help someone determine who to use. Finding a new pet can be easy when a person knows what qualities to look for in a puppy and in the service provider.

A professional breeder will list themselves with a reputable organization. These organizations will advertise local breeders in certain areas. When a person is trying to find a person who has puppies for sale, they may go online and look for places in certain areas. As they call around to various places, they may find that it could be hard to locate a place with available puppies. In many cases, people have to be placed on wait lists for upcoming litters. While wait lists are available, other places may have a few puppies left and available to go from their litters.

Parents of the puppies can be on site and ready to view. Some people will let the puppies get to know their mom and dad to develop into socialized dogs. These homes will feature kids and other pets and animals to allow the dogs to grow up comfortable around many different kinds of homes and situations. They will get used to the noises, smells and features of a busy and active home.

Checking out websites can be a great idea. It can help someone determine if they want to contact the breeder or not. They will view pictures of mom and dad along with litters. They can see the dogs and how the faces and markings appear. There will be general info about taking home a pet and what the fees are that are involved.

Some people will also interview their customers. They may want to meet with them and inquire about the kind of home, yard and work schedule that may be available. Some professional services will turn down people who do not meet their strict requirements. A person contacting different breeders may have to be prepared to get questioned about their own lifestyle and living conditions. Many businesses just want to know that their puppies are going to deserving homes.

The time limit for keeping pets with the parents will range. Some people may be ready to let their litters go right away as soon as a certain week hits. While other people will wait for a longer period of time to let the dog bond and grow with its family. Essential shots are given and the dogs are given a clean bill of health before their final departure.

Buying a dog from a Maltese breeder Georgia may give someone the chance to find the dog they have been looking for. Buying a pet is a long term decision that should be taken seriously. Knowing that the pets are coming from a reputable place can make the process easy and helpful. These small dogs are great for apartments and seniors. They do not need a lot of exercise and appreciate the comfort of a small space and reliable owner.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/reasons-that-make-maltese-training-so-priceless/"></g:plusone>

Have you thought about training your maltese pet? Don't you know that maltese training is extremely important and truly advantageous? Perhaps you have been ignoring your pet's necessities, including his desire for proper training and sufficient physical exercise? If you are still unaware regarding the importance of training your maltese, then here are significant reasons to start thinking about:

1. Maltese training is a way to establish or strengthen your relationship with your dog.

A master-dog relationship that is influenced by trust, respect and cooperation is more positive and stronger. Who says you have to physically hurt or scold your pet just to make him understand that he has done something inappropriate? And why raise a fearful, aggressive, dominant and uncontrollable maltese if you can actually nurture a sociable, obedient, faithful and obedient dog? Start training your maltese using the best approaches, and train systematically; this way, you get to cherish spending time with your dog while building up trust, leadership and loyalty. The more you train your dog, the stronger your bond becomes.

2. Training your maltese gives you an edge over other dog owners.

This is because you get to easily control your dog in various situations. You get to have a good-mannered pet if you do consistent maltese training. You will no longer be worried about leaving your dog unattended whenever he's playing with your small kids and other pets. Walking in the park will also not become a burden because a well-trained maltese knows how to behave properly; an obedience-trained maltese is more obedient and friendly, even when brought outdoors or in public places. Behavior problems won't become much of an issue.

Moreover, the more you train your maltese, the healthier and happier he becomes. Not only that you are catering to his needs as you are also making him feel so loved and accepted. Training your maltese is truly a win-win situation because both you and your dog are able to indulge in certain benefits. Your maltese stays happy, confident and healthy while you are always proud of having such a remarkable pet. A healthy and active pet also means less vet visits. You can save a lot of money and gain numerous rewards from a healthy, well-trained pet.

In addition, crate training your maltese can also help in effectively potty training your dog.

Give your dog best suited kinds and quantity of physical as well as mental exercises. Such dogs don't require a whole lot of physical exercises; however, you must conduct regular walking and minimal running routines. You should be capable of taking advantage of your maltese's high level of energy. Execute different maltese training activities that could help enrich your dog's health and fitness. The good thing is, you can obtain loads of ideas online.

You must be able to accomplish proper crate training as your maltese pet may suffer from separation anxiety. Indeed, such breed does not like being left alone for a long time. They constantly need the company of their masters. This could also become the reason if you're having a hard time doing crate training. However, a lot of benefits can be achieved if you can excellently crate train your cute and playful pet.

Proper and sufficient socialization must be implemented. Indeed, socialization must be undertaken immediately or as soon as your maltese puppy starts to wander throughout your household. It is because such breed tend to be snobby or standoffish when not properly socialized. They must come in contact with as many people and animals as possible. Fortunately, maltese dogs are not that hard to introduce to other folks and dog breeds. In fact, they love the company of a variety of people; but, they always like to stay with their owners and hate to be taken for granted.

Basic dog training for obedience must be done immediately. Obedience training makes it possible to efficiently manage your dog and get him to do various stuff, including the improvement of his obedience level.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/why-is-crate-training-your-maltese-beneficial/"></g:plusone>

Are you knowledgeable of the fact that crate training is very significant and beneficial with regards to doing many different maltese training programs? Have you any idea how important it is to properly crate train your maltese? If not, then maybe you always end up coping with a downright stubborn, hostile, hyperactive, messy and bothersome pet dog.

Even though maltese dogs are one of the those gentle-mannered, loving and pleasant to be with dog breeds, they can also be very hyperactive, playful, stubborn, fearless and suspicious. Such behaviors can bring about a number of trouble if not properly corrected. Of course, crate training your maltese is one of those dog training lessons that can definitely provide you with a lot of benefits when it comes to shaping an obedient, contented pet.

It is quite known that a maltese is hard to housebreak or potty train. Because they tend to be stubborn, it's unlikely for you to be able to effortlessly potty train your maltese. Without the use of pee pads as well as the intervention of crate training, it's quite impossible to successfully housebreak your maltese. As you can see, your maltese won't soil his own bed or private spot to rest. Naturally, patience and consistency are the keys to become successful.

Furthermore, the majority of maltese dogs aren't keen on being left alone for a long time. They don't enjoy being confined, especially if they aren't comfortable with their crates or kennels. Separation anxiety and other behavior issues are more likely to manifest if a maltese is not properly house-trained. That is why it is advisable to include crate training in your basic maltese training lessons as you can surely gain many things, including the prevention of various behavioral problems.

And since many people live in apartments and can't help but leave their pets indoors for a long time, crate training is the most practical means of ensuring your dog's safety as well as preserving your house's cleanliness and beauty. As you can see, a maltese can be very destructive if left to his own devices. He can tear your sofas and bed apart or chew your valuable belongings as if it's the best thing to do while you are away.

In addition, you can bring your maltese when traveling, provided you have been able to properly crate train him. Indeed, a crate-trained maltese knows how and when to behave and sits contentedly in his crate when brought out for a drive or a travel abroad. Crate training is really a convenient way to take control or manage your maltese pet.

Crate training is actually among the best ways to deal with your maltese's unpleasant behaviors. Even so, take note that crates or kennels should not be used as a form of punishment, but a mere penalty that could make your dog understand that he has done something wrong. Otherwise, you are only associating negative things to your dog's safe haven. He will no longer see it as something desirable, safe and fun to stay in.

Consistency is paramount to productive crate training. In fact, to be consistent is a must if you aim to achieve success in maltese training. So long as you are consistent in crate training your maltese, you can be guaranteed of a less dominant, less aggressive, well-behaved, responsible, contented and safe pet dog.

Indeed, first-time dog owners are strongly-encouraged to first take time in knowing and bonding with their pets before executing different dog training activities. If you want a maltese, then it's wise to first understand the dog's nature.

In fact, people who are interested to adopt a pet dog must first be aware of the characteristics of their chosen dog breed before bringing him home. This will help you determine whether the breed of your choice is truly appropriate for you and your entire family. Moreover, it will also help you achieve a prosperous dog training endeavor.

Maltese dogs are one of the most sought after dog breeds all over the world because of their excellent temperament, and of course, their cute and graceful appearance. Most maltese dogs are outgoing, playful, charming and have upbeat personality. Maltese training can be made fun and effective through consistent and interactive training routines and activities.

Knowing your dog is a way for you to make interaction and maltese training easy, fulfilling, enjoyable, safe and productive. The more you know your own maltese, the easier it becomes to deal with him, particularly if he has a tendency to exhibit undesirable behaviors. You must be able to recognize your dog's actions so that you will be able to immediately cater to his needs. If you can effectively communicate with your maltese, then it's less likely for you to have a tough time managing him, especially during your training sessions.

It is your obligation as a maltese owner to be able to cater to your dog's needs. Evidently, to be familiar with your dog's traits and natural tendencies is also one of his basic needs. You must know what can make him sick, the kinds or amount of physical and mental exercise he needs, the types of maltese training suited to his personality and health, and all the other things that can help him become a marvelous little pet dog.

Although not all maltese owners try to first establish a good relationship with their dogs before doing anything else with regards to training, it is truly necessary that you have a strong connection with your maltese. Otherwise, you will find it hard to control him and make him obey your maltese training for obedience commands. But if you know what can make him stop doing nasty habits or what can motivate him during training, then the easier it gets to interact with him and raise him into a desirable and obedient pet dog.

Imagine training a playful and lively dog with penchant for his master's love and attention. It helps to have that great strength to be able to withstand those expressive eyes and sweet whimpers otherwise you won't be able to correct him if the situation entails it. Additionally, you also need to be aware of the most important training advice to make certain that you'll be getting your desired training result. Pay attention to every advice mentioned:

1. Find out more about the breed. Before you bring home a maltese, assess first the physical characteristics and personality to determine if this breed is indeed best for you. Moreover, knowing this information can also help you determine what maltese training approach is best for this breed based on physical, mental and behavioral aspects.

2. Do not set your expectations too high. Training is not a one-time process nor can be done right away. It's a continuous process that may take days, even months and a few disappointing instances before you can finally notice results. Never expect your dog to learn a certain command in a single session so as to avoid frustrations.

3. Tackle one lesson at a time. If you are presently teaching your pet how to sit, focus on that command until he has mastered it. Introducing the down command while you're still working on the sit will only confuse him and put your maltese training effort in vain.

4. Never use punishment as a training strategy. Due to frustrations, one can be enticed to hit his four-legged friend sometimes. But hard as it is, you should keep in mind that physical punishment will only intensify the situation. As an alternative, use positive reinforcement like treats and praise during training. Rewarding him for doing something you consider appropriate will help encourage him to repeat that behavior he is being rewarded for.

5. Remain consistent. Dogs are intelligent animals but they only view things in black and white. You need to be specific about what you want them to do to prevent confusion. For instance if you are training him not to jump, it is important that you enforce the rule irrespective of the situation. Allowing him to jump when you have your regular clothes on while scolding him when he does the same if you are dressed for an event will only confuse him. Also, all members of the family and other persons who may possibly interact with your pet ought to be strict in implementing the rule too.

Clare Rosewood has been offering useful Maltese training advice for several years.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/how-to-treat-extreme-barking-through-maltese-training/"></g:plusone>

Maltese training can be a challenging task not only because of their playful character but also because their small size and expressive appearance can make it very easy for them to conquer anyone's heart subsequently letting them get away from anything. But is there more challenging than having a small pet with behavior problem like excessive barking?

Based on some surveys, the maltese is the most dumped dog in Australia and Korea citing this breed's habit to bark excessively. While it is indeed hard to endure noise caused by a barking dog, the total of dogs being dumped wouldn't increase only if owners are know what to do to deal with the scenario.

We all know that barking couldn't totally be eliminated since it's every dog's natural reaction to. The easiest method to handle the issue is to train the dog as to when is the correct time to start barking and how to stop barking on command. If your pet barks on cars or people like the postman, passersby and kids laughing, then it's likely you have not included socialization during maltese training. Help him associate these things with something positive by making every encounter interesting. Rewarding him with treats or praise each time he stays quiet when a car or a yelling kid is around can do the trick.

Your pet dog may also bark if he has separation anxiety or if he is not comfortable of his condition. Staying outside although the temperature is scorching hot or freezing cold is undoubtedly uncomfortable to dogs just as much as it is to humans. It would be best to transfer his crate or bed to a snug and safe place where family members stay often times.

Ask assistance from someone to teach him to bark on command. Then ask your assistant to knock at the door or other hard surface but just before that, say "speak". If he barks, reward him with treat or praise until he learns to associate the command with the act. If he figured out the concept that he should stay calm after the treat, say "quiet" or other word with similar meaning.

Maltese training is one certain way to have a well mannered pet everyone loves to be around. If every owner train their pet properly, for sure it will greatly reduce the number of maltese being dumped.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="true" url="http://www.pet-memorial-urns-online.com/maltese-training-the-advantages-of-crate/"></g:plusone>

There are many tools a dog owner can use to make maltese training easy - one of which is crate. It is undeniably true that some dog owners believe that the use of crate during training is inhumane and harsh. But what they don't know is the fact that the crate is actually helpful in attaining positive training outcome.

So how does crate training works? Let us take for instance the dogs in the wild. Even if they thrive outdoors, they still prefer to sleep in their own safe place called den - shallow holes they dug in the ground. The holes, just large enough for a dog to turn around in and lie down, are frequently located in dark places, safe from potential predators and extreme conditions. This applies to domesticated dogs as well. Though they have been thriving with humans, the need for a den-like setting remains until now. That means to say, crating a dog isn't harsh because you are merely providing him with what he needs. Just use it correctly so that your valuable pooch will associate it with fun and comfort, not physical punishment and loneliness.

In addition to providing your pet with his own comfort zone, here are other reasons for teaching your pet to get used to crate during maltese training:

- Crate is useful during housebreaking. Dogs don't like to soil their sleeping area hence they would try to "hold it" until taken to the area you selected as their toilet. Doing so regularly will help your furry friend develop desirable potty routine.

- Crate ensures your pet's safety even if he's left alone at home. He won't be able to access unsafe areas of the house like kitchen where the waste can is located or the living room where there are electric cables he might chew.

- Your house is safe from your dog. If you have a pet that has a tendency to chew or dig, leaving him by himself is more likely to result to chewed or soiled furniture, holes in the lawn or scratches on the wall.

- Crate makes traveling with pets fun and easy.

That is because during training, these small, fluffy lap dogs are taught to behave in ways acceptable based on human point of view. So what is expected to a well-trained maltese? Obviously, the one that sits, stays, come, etc on command, knows where to potty and does not have behavior issues. Knowing how to perform amusing tricks is a bonus.

Several training publications or websites make it easy for owners to know what works best for their pets. These books and websites contain not just suggestions regarding the best methods to adhere to but also tips on what to avoid for successful maltese training.

Don't:

- use harsh training methods and tools. He'll not understand that he is being penalized for not getting the command at once or for making a mistake two hours earlier. In fact, smacking your dog or rubbing his nose on his mess is only going to worsen the problem because they can potentially lead to behavior problems such as aggression or fear.

- use the cage, leash or other training tools to reprimand your dog. These tools must be associated with fun and pleasure, not abuse.

- train your dog when he is ill or emotionally distressed.

- let training sessions last for extended period of time. Maltese training should only last for 10 to 15 minutes each session.

- train right after eating or drinking.

- force your pet to accomplish training activities more than he can tolerate.

- let your dog get away from anything. Never give in to his soulful eyes or pitiful whine when he wants something. If you do not want him in the couch, be consistent with it no matter what.

- expect a lot from your dog. Expecting to see immediate results can lead to frustration knowing that training, particularly housebreaking, may take days or even weeks to achieve.

- wait for bad behavior to develop before providing correction.

- let good behavior go unrewarded. Rewarding every good behavior will let him find out that you are pleased with what he did.
