Have you ever thought from where do all those cute and cuddly pets in the pet store came from? Well a very few of those might have come from an unknown location, and a few might have come from the Pinta, the Nina and the Santa Maria, but most of those pets come from different pet breeders.

Pet breeders are those people who have made the task of breeding certain type of pets as their livelihood. The value of a certain type of pet breeder seems to go up if the breeder breeds only a certain type of pet breed i.e. they specialize in breeding only a certain kind of pet. These specialists are of course the better breeders.

If you're actively looking to get a pet, and a pet store is your easiest option, you will first want to do some investigating into the background of your intended pet. Where did it come from; what is its lineage; what illnesses can it have; have any genetic flaws or disease been bred out if it; and most important of all, where does it come from?

To gain a clearer picture of the situation and to help you make your decision it is advised that you should ask all these questions before buying a pet from a pet store. The last question, where does the pet you are going to own comes from, is the most important question as it can help you to identify a pet mills.

In pet mills, animas are bred just like in a factory without any kind of care. Even though they are not ill treated physically, this may be the case in some situations, they are ill treated in the manner in which they are forced to live. This is why it is a very good idea to ensure that your pet does not come from a pet mill, and whether it has originally from a good and reputed pet breeder, who cares for his pets rather than for money.

Not all pet breeders are like an unconcerned and greedy breeder. Most of them love the pets they breed, and try to provide their pets with the best care and attention. These pets are bred in humane conditions and live a very healthy and happy life.

If however, you want to look at getting a new pet straight from the pet breeders themselves, then this too is a possibility. If this is going to be the case, you can always ask to take a tour of their breeding facility, and find out as much information as you can about them.

In today's modern age getting access to information is not at all difficult, and all you need is a little bit of hunting to get all the information you need to help you identify breeders who are well known for their breeding techniques and who provide the best care for their pets.

If you have absolutely no idea what kind of a dog you want for yourself except for the fact that your neighbor's dog is the cutest and the most adorable thing on four legs. For a person interested in adding a new member to his family, there are many different puppy breeds available these days. In fact it can be very difficult to decide which dog to get taking into account all the different cross breeds and hundreds of pure bred breed dogs.

For those owning a puppy for the first time, there are some things that can be done to find which breeds of dogs are well suited to their lifestyle. The first of these things is to get some information regarding at least a few varieties of dog breeds. Although this may not provide you with all the information you require to take your decision, it may provide you with some insights regarding what you are looking for.

This task can be easily accomplished either by using the internet to check for information, or trawling through several pet stores to look at the various verities of puppies available, or by getting and reading a few books on different kinds of puppy breeds.

Once all this has been done, then you may think about going through the list of needs and requirements that you are looking for in a puppy. For example, you are looking for a puppy that is full of energy; you need a puppy that grows into something that resembles a small mountain or one that would fit in your lap?

Your circumstances are also very helpful in narrowing down your choices and thus ultimately making the task of choosing a puppy an easier one. Do you live in an apartment; do have a small garden, a large garden or no garden at all? Do you have young children in the house that you want your puppy to interact with? How many hours is the puppy going to be alone in the house? Do you have any other pets that may need to socialize with the puppy?

Thinking of an answer to all these questions and certain other questions such as are you allergic to dog hair, you can very easily and quickly narrow down your choice of puppy breeds and finally settle on one or two particular breed of dogs that you want.

And when you get through answering these questions, you will then want to list the traits you want in your puppy, like for instance whether you want a watch dog, or whether you want a show dog, or just a loyal companion to keep the lonely hours of the day at bay.

These are some of the things that can help you in finding a good puppy for yourself. It may happen that you may be required to research about a few dozen varieties of dogs before you find the perfect pal, but then again, the things in life that are important for you are generally the most difficult to get.

A good dog breeder will almost always want to know about you, almost as much as you will want to know about your new prospective dog, and this is also true of Bichon Frise breeders. These breeders love their dogs and take good care of their breeder dogs, as well as the ensuing puppies.

Obviously not all breeders are alike, and even among the relatively normal numbers of Bichon Frise breeders you will also find breeders who are indifferent to their dogs' needs, and who are only in the dog breeding business to make a fast buck.

Places such as these are generally considered to be puppy mills and the best thing to do is to avoid places such as these and try to stay as far as possible from them.

There are all kinds of breeders, but these can be thought of as the worst of the lot, the ones whose sole purpose of breeding puppies is to earn profit. They consider their puppies nothing more than a barking, walking commodity and are totally unaware and indifferent when it comes to the happiness and health of their dogs.

It is also important that you do not confuse genuine Bichon Frise breeders with those Bichon Frise breeders who have opened up shop only to make a profit.

The genuine article in Bichon Frise breeders will be gems to be treasured as they provide a very genuine and valuable service, and shouldn't really be treated as if they were heralding the arrival of the devil himself.

If you are in a genuine Bichon Frise breeder, be ready to be questioned on all aspects of your life. This is not done to invade your privacy or alienate you. It is done in order to find out that whether you will be able to take ample care of your new Bichon Frise puppy.

Another thing that you must understand is that most Bichon Frise breeders are willing to interact with you on topics such as how to care about your new puppy. They will also be willing to inform you how the behavior of your puppy would change as it matures into an adult dog.

Will it be cute and adorable all of its life, or will it turn into a raging monster who tears your entire home up the minute you leave it alone and go out food shopping for more dog food! Or will you get a cute and adorable puppy who will tear up the room regardless of whether or not you're home?

These are some of the basic questions that Bichon Frise dogs can easily answer about your new puppy. And this is the main reason why you should spend so much time to find a genuine breeder who would help you get a puppy that is suited to you and your lifestyle.

If you are interested in getting a puppy for yourself, then there are many different avenues open for you. These include pet stores where you can investigate about the puppy you want, then there are various puppy breeders, where you can get all information about the puppy which you are thinking of adopting. However the best places to go to if you want to buy a puppy is to a puppy breeder.

This may not be as difficult as you might think as there are large numbers of puppy breeders which you can easily find. There are few things which you might want to know before going to a puppy breeder to get your very own canine companion.

The first of these is to decide which type of puppy you want to have. Most puppy breeders specialize in one or two different breeds only. So if you're looking for a Labrador puppy, then going to a Beagle puppy breeder won't get you any nearer your goal.

After you have decided what kind of puppy you want, the task becomes much easier as all you need to do now is narrow down the puppy breeders in your area to a few that breed the type of puppy you require.

The next thing that you want to do will be to take a look over the establishment of your prospective puppy breeders, because the last thing that you want to do is to get a puppy from a poorly disguised puppy mill. You will want to investigate this fact thoroughly before getting your puppy from one of these breeders as although most puppy breeders are not running a puppy mill, there will be a few out there who do so.

You will want to avoid these for a number of reasons one of the main being that you can never be assured of the health of a puppy obtained from a puppy mill. Besides which the conditions in which the puppies and the breeding dogs live in are just disgraceful. Sanitation, health and hygiene are not high on a list which comprises mainly of getting the most out of the dogs and the puppies.

Another thing that you need to be sure about is the overall characteristic of the puppy breeders. If they really care about their puppy, then they will have as many questions for you as you would have for them regarding your ability to look after and care for the puppy.

This is perfectly normal and is a trait shared by reputed dog breeders. After all reputed dog breeders do not want their puppy to go into the hands of a person who is indifferent about his puppy's health and mental well being. As a matter of fact all reputed breeders would want you to discuss how you are going to maintain your newly owned puppy and how much you can do to accommodate it into your lifestyle.

A lot of people across the world like the notion of having a pet by their side. A dog is generally considered an ideal mate by many of these people. Even though you can get a dog from a pet store, a reputed breeder, animal shelter or any other place, American Kennel Club is the place you want to see before deciding to get a pet for yourself. At American Kennel Club you can find the perfect pet from the several AKC breeds available.

There are two ways through which you can check out AKC, you can either visit their local centre or you can visit their website. While you may have two options, it is generally not advised that you go to a centre for the first round of choosing as you may adopt a breed that is not suited to your living style. So it is generally advised that you visit their website first before going to a centre.

On the AKC website you can take a look at the names of the dogs you know from the list of breeds listed there. All relevant information about the breeds can be accessed through links on the listing page. The information contained describes the breed of the dog and explains the temperament of the dog, it helps you understand how much space, love and care a breed of dog requires, and what care and health concerns should you know about a breed.

The information given should be read carefully in order to find out your perfect pet. However at the time of making the final decision you should have several breeds in mind. Conventional dog breeder sites and the AKC site have one thing in common. It is the ability to choose your dog breed alphabetically or according to a group.

In the pet listing page of the AKC website the breeds have been classified into groups. The groups have been made after taking into consideration various traits and criteria that have been selected keeping in mind the ease of the potential dog owner. AKC breeds are divided into subdivisions such as miscellaneous class breeds, AKC recognized breeds, and foundation stock service breeds.

The dog breeds which are placed in these different groups will have certain qualities listed. For instance the dogs in the foundation stock service breeds will have links to rare pure breed dogs. These are dogs which certain types of dog lovers would love to have ownership of.

Visiting the AKC site would enable you to get access about all resources regarding how to take care of your new pet. All items that you require to take care of your pet are available here and this includes grooming, pet training and stuff for the purpose of entertainment. To each, his or her, own dog. That statement might not make any sense to a person without a dog, but it is nonetheless true that all dog owners believe that their dog is the cutest, most adorable and the friendliest dog, etc. The list is endless but let me cut it short by saying that I have a 10 month old American Eskimo puppy and it is the best, the most adorable, the most intellectually gifted and the most stand-up comedic dog in the world.

That's right, I've coined what might be a new phrase in the land of dogdom, however I don't expect it to go further than my very own American Eskimo puppy. From the very first day we brought her home, to this day it's been one riot (of laughter by the way) after another. Like I said it started the very first day, when she fell into her pint-sized tub of milk. Now that's she's older and larger it's sometimes difficult to believe that she was ever that small, but luckily I have pictures!

If you're looking to become the proud owner of an American Eskimo puppy, there are a few facts that you might want to look at before proceeding any further. It's always best to find out beforehand whether an American Eskimo puppy is the best breed of dog for you, or whether you might be better off with an Afghan hound or a Boxer.

Being a proud owner of an American Eskimo puppy is not an easy task, and also knowing that an American Eskimo dog is an average shedder is very much necessary for people with allergies to dog hair. You should also understand that you American Eskimo puppy requires a lot of grooming. It needs to be groomed at least twice a week normally and generally once a day during shedding.

Take note that if you let the grooming lapse, this breed can and will shed its un-brushed hairs without compunction, so you will need to groom these dogs.

You will soon realise that the cute and adorable American Eskimo puppy you own is also quite intelligent and is one of those dogs that can be trained very easily. One thing that needs to be kept in mind is that they are a playful breed and need a regular exercise regime.

An American Eskimo dog is a great asset if it is cared for nicely and people trained at an early age. The best thing about these dogs however, is the thick mane of fur around their neck and the small swagger in their walk that makes them appear as if they are the lions of the dog world!
