Your Rabbit is going to want someplace to live, as it is not practical to let run about freely. With so many cages and hutches that are now available to choose from, it can often be hard to select the one that will suit your pet. In addition to a hutch or cage, you may as well want to find a run.

Hutches are in the main used for Rabbits when you will be keeping them outside. A hutch will keep your pet cool in summer and warm in winter. They will also supply your Rabbit with the right amount of air flow. When searching for a hutch, I would keep the following points in mind:

The size of your Rabbit The number of Rabbits that will be included Your hutch is made from durable materials that is non-toxic Cleaning is made easy by having plenty of access Level of safety from predators Room for accessories, litter pan, and bowls

It is also recommended, you should as well observe how active your Rabbit is. If your Rabbit is not very active, then the height of the hutch you purchase needs not to be important. If your Rabbit is very active, then you need to make for sure that the height of the hutch leaves enough head room for the Rabbit to leap or stand up on its back legs.

Cages can be just as challenging to choose. Rabbits that will be kept in your home will want a cage. The size of the cage will be established by the room you have in your house for the cage and the type of Rabbit you decide to keep.

Rabbit cages vary in size. If you purchase a smaller breed Rabbit, a 24 x 36 inch cage will be adequate. If your Rabbit weighs, or will weigh 8 pounds or more, then you will need a bigger cage. A 30 x 36 inch cage will work well. Wire cages are ideal, but you require to choose a wire bottomed cage that includes some type of solid surface in in the bottem of it. This make it far easier to clean if you are going to keep it inside.

Runs can be used for Rabbits and there are there are many runs that are readily available on the internet for indoor and outdoor use. All a run is, in a nutshell, is a type of playpen for your small animals. Runs are usually made from wire with open tops and bottoms. A run provides your Rabbit with the opportunity to exercise and run about outside of the confines of their hutch or cage, without any danger to them.
